YWCA   Santa Monica / Westside
Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) program is dedicated to increasing awareness about the importance of the early detection of breast cancer through a nationwide campaign. NBCAM started as a weeklong campaign in 1985 with two founding members. Today the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside is one of many organizations that support this effort. During October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the YWCA joins forces to spread the message that early detection of breast cancer followed by prompt treatment saves lives.

This year, in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, join us for a special workshop:

Breathe - Relax - Enjoy Being Still

Wednesday, October 28, 1:30 - 3:30 pm

FREE (registration required)

Cancer survivors, friends and caregivers - join us for this special workshop with Satya and learn the ancient art and science of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.  You will learn how to breathe deeply and correctly, how to relax and let go of the stress you're holding, and truly give yourself the space to heal with meditation.  Satya has studied yoga since 1990 and is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, certified healer, and holds a Master's degree in Psychology.
