Welcome to the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside
Established in 1926, the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside is a non-profit organization serving more than 2,500 women and children from ten communities in West Los Angeles.
Our Mission: Strengthened by diversity, the YWCA empowers women and girls by creating opportunities for growth and leadership.
The YWCA invests in our community's women and girls from infancy to adulthood. Through child development, teen leadership, girls athletics, transitional housing and education, financial literacy, parenting education, health and fitness classes, and cancer support, the YWCA is a turning point for many who seek out our services at different points in their lives to provide direction and support for a next step. Our stories support our Mission: Rena Wander - I'm Bald and So Are You ... A Life Well Worth Living Today my doctor told me I had breast cancer. I never realized how painful and frightening so few words could be. My world is crumbling around me. What am I going to do? Will I recover? Is my life over? Click here to read the rest of Rena's story. And so do our programs:- Encore Rehabilitative pool therapy, peer support, and referral for cancer survivors.
